Where is the icon library in Figma?
If you've just started as a designer or are just new to Figma you're probably wondering how to get icons into the software. Well it's really easy to get icons into figma: as long as they are PNG or SVG you can just drag and drop them into the editor.
Where is the icon library in Figma?
If you're looking for an icon library to use in Figma - there is none that's by default integrated but there are 3rd party plugins you can use to get icons:
One of the most popular library is called Iconify and you can add it by going to plugins -> find more plugins and searching for iconify.
It's free to use and all the icons are SVG which means you can edit them pretty easily, change the colors and play with gradients. There are other plugins but most of the are either paid or simply not as complete as iconify.
You can also get the svg code or even use html code directly into the website if you're looking to send it to your frontend developer.
The icons are grouped up by the style, or the name given by the creator of the pack.
If you're looking to use icons for a bigger project I would suggest you stick with one style to stay consistent but at the end of the day you could customize the icons to make them all fit together so I wouldn't really worry that much about it - just something to keep in mind.
Personally I would stick with the more popular icon packs like the Google Material or Boostrap just because they are more optimized to be better from a UX perspective and legible even as smaller sizes.
Anyway, if you're looking for an icon library in Figma you can just use the iconify plugin. It's free to use and has a lot of packs to chose from.
