How Do I Save a .ICO File in Photoshop?

Are you looking to save an icon as .ICO for your website but didn't know how? Well, unfortunately Photoshop doesn't allow you to export directly as an ICO, but don't worry - there's an easy way around it.

It turns out that you can export as a PNG and then use an online converter to turn it into an ICO file. Just search for a “PNG to ICO converter” and you’ll be able to find plenty of options. It’s pretty straightforward and takes no time at all.

That said, if you're looking to generate a favicon they usually come in sizes 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 or 64 or 64. Don't make them bigger than that because the icon will just end up using resources and increase load time.
