How Do I Make a Binder Cover on Canva?

Canva is a great tool with over 250,000 design templates and millions of stock images to chose from - most of them useable with the free plan. Binder Cover templates are no exception.

The easiest and fastest way is to just use a Canva template. They're called Planner Cover Templates. Right now there's over 500 free to use Binder Cover Templates. To start using them just click on the one you like and then Customize this template.

The binder template will then launch inside the Canva editor and you'll be able to change text and colors. Then once you're done just export it and it's going to be ready for print. 

The second way to make Binder Covers in Canva is to manually design them yourself. I won't be getting into a lot of details on how to do it because it really depends on the style you're going but you should start with the default canvas size which is 8.5 x 11 inch. 

Once your canvas is loaded you can start searching trough the image library for backgrounds and text formats to stylize your Binder. And side note - another important detail is to make sure your file is exported at least 2x its original size so that the printed version looks sharp.
