Can I Edit a Saved Canva Design?

If you're looking to edit Canva designs it's important to know the types of files you're working with so that you can know what you can and cannot do.

Can I Edit a Saved Canva Design?

First of all let's define what Saved means: is your design exported as an image - PNG or JPG format? 
Because if that's the case you cannot really edit a PNG or JPG file by opening it back in Canva. You will only get your design as one grouped layer. 

Second option: if your Canva design is saved and it's created by you, then just open Canva and you should be able to see the file and make changes to it without any issues.

If someone else designed your file, you will have to ask them to open up the template, go to Share and click on Template link:

Then ask them to share with you their template URL - which you will be able to open in Canva and edit the design template. 

So, to summarize - if your file is exported as PNG or JPG, then you cannot get it back in Canva and make edits to it. On the other hand if you have previously designed a template you will be able to easily make further edits to it by just opening it back in the editor.
